- 2009 Road Season
The 2009 Road Season kicks off February 7th with the Boulevard Road Race put on by UCSD. The rest of the season looks like this:
2/7-2/8 UCSD-RR, SDSU-Crit 2/14-2/15 UCLA 2/21-2/22 OPEN 2/28-3/1 CPLSO 3/7-3/8 UCSB 3/14-3/15 UCSC 3/21-3/22 OPEN 3/28-3/29 UNR 4/4-4/5 UCB 4/11-4/12 Stanford 4/18-4/19 OPEN - (Sea Otter) 4/25-4/26 UCD - Conference Championships
Results will appear about a week after the event takes place on the WCCC Results Page.
- First Team Meeting
UCSB Cycling's first team meeting will be held Thursday, October 2nd at 8PM in LSB 1001. Come on out to meet existing team members and others interested in joining. All levels of riders are welcome, and don't fret if you can't make the first meeting. You can come aboard any time of the year. Just because you missed the first team meeting doesn't mean you can't join the team.
- First Mountain Biking Meeting
The first mountain biking specific meeting will be Thursday, September 25th at 8PM in LSB 1001. MTB race season starts this week, but all you mountain bikers can start whenever. If you like to ride, even just recreationally, come on out.
- Mountain Biking
The MTB Race Season begins on the weekend of September 27th-28th in Reno, NV. A handful of previous members will be going. If you're a mountain biker and would like to compete, contact Stewart or Jenna, the MTB Captains. You don't have to race though; If you're interested in joining the team and just riding for fun, then come meet us anyway.
- Fun and Fitness Festival
The Fun and Fitness Festival will be held on Wednesday, September 24th from 1PM to 4PM in the Rec Cen Courtyard. Come stop by our table to meet the team and get more information. We're hard to miss; we have a black 16' Trailer that we use during race season. Find it and come on down.
- Team Officers Elected
Officers for the 08-09 year have been elected. Our contact page reflects the changes. Congratulations to our new officers and good luck in the upcoming year.
