It is a common misconception that Andres Enriquez of BFOM is Mexican. This is most obviously false, as Andres is NOT Mexican but Peruvian (yes, there is a difference). In fact, he is very much tied to his heritage, being the great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great grandnephew of the famous Incan ruler, Montezuma (Uncle Monty is what he called him). With that being said, the fact that Andres has greasy hair and wears lots of plaid and wifebeaters is in no way part of any Mexican stereotype. "That's all me, baby."
Andres is thrilled to be starting off his 1st year of College Life as a member of BFOM. He has been singing since 2nd grade, starting at the children's service at church and since has moved up all the way to the Adult's service. In High school, Andres joined a Barbershop Quartet named the Noteables, a group that lasted for two years, right up till he had to leave for college (if you'd like to learn more about that, feel free to ask him because he loves talking about it entirely too much). Andres is a Dramatic Art major and has been in numerous shows where he was the Lead role and was absolutely brilliant at it. He hopes to become an actor in movies or the stage... heck, even commercials. If you ask him if he enjoys what he does and if he will continue to sing in BFOM and spend his life entertaining the masses, he will give you the most direct answer to that question there is: "Jeis." |
