Submission Guidelines

Written Entries

1. All submissions must be the original work of the author.

2. Articles are not limited in length and can be in the form of a research paper, critical analysis paper, essay, interview, or biography/autobiography. If an autobiography, please submit pictures or drawings which can be kept by the editorial staff

3. Each submission must have a cover page attatched. This cover page will have the name, e-mail, major, and phone number of the author. No other mention of the author's name should be made elsewhere in the submission.

4. Two copies of each article must be submitted, each with a cover page.

5. All references should be given in the MLA format. Additionally, references should be as accurate as possible to facilitate the editorial staff in verification.

6. All submissions will be subject to editorial review. As such, be aware that submissions may be edited for length, clarity, and gramatical correctness.

7. Submissions become the property of FOCUS and will not be returned.

8. By entering a submission, the student acknowledges and accepts these submission guidelines.

Cover Art

1. Art, photos, drawings, and computer graphics are all acceptable submissions.

2. Artistic submissions will be accepted in either black and white or color

3. Maximum acceptable size of artistic submissions is 8.5" x 11"

4. Submissions become the property of FOCUS and will not be returned.

5. By entering a submission, the student acknowledges and accepts these submission guidelines.
