India Independence Day Picnic
Saturday, August 19, 2000, 10:30 AM
Goleta Beach
The weather was great, the food was wonderful and plentiful and whoever
was there, had a great time. The saturday bbq was a good way to celebrate
our ID. Infact the TRICOLOR was flying high (thanks to Vijay), flapping merrily
in the ocean breeze as all of us sang the National Anthem in chorus. ( Charan,
thanks for the reminder).
Special thanks to our expert cooks Doli, Shreya , Jayanth and also to all
those who helped with the cooking. Thanks also to Parag who woke up at 600
to catch the pits and to Sitaram Aanand and everyone that came and made the
event a cool success. Those of you who missed it, dont worry there will be
more parties coming soon.--Nari
