The Pilipin@ community at UCSB is proud to present Balikbayan Magazine-a publication dedicated to presenting, chronicling, and recording the experience, history, and culture of Pilipin@s at UCSB.

As a means of creating something tangible that reminds us of our stories, lives, and struggles, we hope to [re]connect our community through artistic and political empowerment, for "without art, there is no movement."

Through a collection of artwork, poetry, and other forms of written and visual expression, we hope to discover and explore the many experiences of our people, and in doing so, present a more dynamic truth.
