mission:

The Political Pillar of Kapatirang Pilipin@ shall be the mobilizing legs of the organization.  It shall be the forum for Pilipin@ students and community members to engage in discussing, strategizing, and organizing direct action around issues that affect our people--within the UCSB community as well as internationally in collaboration with other progressive Pilipin@ organizations.

The Political Pillar recognizes the need to continually dismantle the institutions that have historically oppressed and silenced our brothers and sisters by educating and providing our constituency with grassroots efforts and campaigns that address the current and potential political climate.  We strive to highlight the great diversity within our own community and will fiercely defend and fight alongside all oppressed peoples.  We envision a deeper understanding of our indigeneity and the complexities of intersectionality.  The KP Political Pillar shall not back down in the face of struggle, for we are born from the struggle and continue to fight.
