to Earn Points
If you would like to pay your dues and simply add Lambda Alpha as a line on
your vita, you are welcome to do that. However, we are hoping that you
want more out of us then that. To help encourage active membership, we
have devised a point system complete with goodies at the end.
If you earn 20 points or more during the year, you receive:
Consideration for scholarships and research grants
An additional $5 credit towards your Lambda Alpha honors graduation stole
The ability to run for an officer position for the
following year
Additionally, the two people to earn the most points during the year
will earn a special award.
Earning
Points is Easy!
1 point for attending an Anthropology
Student Union meeting
2 points for attending a Lambda Alpha meeting
2 points for attending an Anthropology campus event
2 points per hour for any Anthropology-related volunteering (including
Lambda Alpha volunteering)
3 points for attending a Lambda Alpha event
5 points for mentoring a new Anthropology student
