Our Mission

Los Curanderos is a pre-health organization at UCSB that is committed to providing support, information, and pre-professional opportunities to minority students and those interested in providing health care to under served communities.

A Bit of History

In the early 1970's a group of highly motivated UCSB students formed Los Curanderos a Pre-Health organization geared toward the interests and needs of minority students. The founders were sensitive to the needs of the community and established the group for those with the commitment to the improvement of health care to under served communities. Although many years have gone by the principles and ideals of the original members continue to provide a solid foundation which ensures the growth and strength of Los Curanderos.
