Queer Resources on Campus
-The Resource Center for Sexual & Gender Diversity (RCSGD) welcomes a diversity of racial, ethnic, religious, political, and cultural values while advocating for the welfare of those who have historically been marginalized because of their sexual orientation and/or gender identity-including lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, and ally individuals. Its staff and volunteers are committed to serving the campus and larger community with professionalism and respect. The RCSGD provides educational programs, social activities, advocacy and consultation with the goal of enhancing safety, tolerance, and quality of life at UCSB. The RCSGD also has a library of books and videos as well as the Rainbow Lounge, which is used for meetings, hanging out, and studying. Please stop by the Resource Center and pick up an events calendar and information about LGBTQIA programs and organizations on campus. -EUCALYPTUS is the University's Committee on Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Concerns is committed to promoting the welfare of faculty, staff, and students, and advancing the acceptance and inclusion of these community members in all facets of campus and university life. -Discussion/Support Groups: UCSB has various support/discussion groups that meet on a weekly or regular basis. These include a gay/bisexual men's group; a lesbian/bisexual women's group; and a questioning/coming out group.
