Highlights of Fall Quarter 2001 SBDC Activities
The Swing and Ballroom Dance Club was very active this quarter. Here is a summary of some of our recent Fall Quarter events and activities. (Photos will be added soon.)
- SBDC Week #10 Theme Dance: "GLOW in the DARK NIGHT"!
- The Week #10 (November 26th) "GLOW in the DARK NIGHT" Theme Dance was definitely a big hit!. Everyone had glow stick necklaces to wear. Many SBDC members had other glowing body parts and hair! The fun continued as we danced with the lights out.

SALSA and Cha-Cha Workshops with David Uejio
The SBDC Salsa and Cha-Cha Workshops last weekend (Saturday 1 December 2001) went very well! David U. did a great job with both classes. The SBDC will probably hold another afternoon Salsa and Cha-Cha Workshop with David in the Winter Quarter 2002.
SBDC "Lunchtime at the Storke" Swing Dances
We had a very good turnout for our first Lunchtime at the Storke Swing Dance for Fall Quarter (Tuesday 16 October 2001)! The weather was perfect, and there were lots of people to dance with. The UCSB Nexus even published a Front Page photo from our dance!

SBDC Dance Etiquette "Tip of the Week"
As a continuing feature, the Swing and Ballroom Dance Club publishes a weekly Dance Etiquette "Tip of the Week". Each week, we announce the etiquette tip, and then it is posted on the SBDC Web Site.
SBDC Weekly Basics I Lesson Schedule
As another continuing feature, the SBDC Weekly Basics I Lesson Schedule is posted on the SBDC Web Site. For Fall Quarter, we alternated weeks between Swing Dance Lessons and Ballroom Dance Lessons. SBDC club members are able to find the dance topics of interest from the schedule, and plan in advance to attend those lessons. All lessons are supervised or conducted by the SBDC club officers.
