Highlights of Spring Quarter 2008 SBDC Activities
The SBDC was quite active this past quarter. We held a Special Live Band Swing Dance in our New Dance Events Location (UCSB Student Resources Building, Multi-purpose room), and we invited a number of Special Guest Instructors to teach for us this quarter.
Here is a summary of some of our recent Spring Quarter 2008 activities and events (photos will be added in the future, when available).
- SBDC Weekly Basics I Lesson Schedule
- As another continuing feature, the SBDC Weekly Basics I Lesson Schedule is posted on the SBDC Web Site. For Spring Quarter, we provided our members with a wide range of dance subjects. SBDC club members are able to find the dance topics of interest from the schedule, and plan in advance to attend those lessons. All lessons are supervised or conducted by the SBDC club officers.
Spring Quarter Major Dances, Workshop, and Theme Night!
The SBDC held our “Spring Fling Swing Dance” on Friday, May 9th, in our new dance events location, the UCSB Student Resources Building room 1112. This dance featured the live Swing and Jump Blues sounds of Flat Top Tom and His Jump Cats! The SBDC provided the music and the refreshments. And the dancers came and danced! Well done!
The SBDC Swing Show Team had several performances at the Santa Barbara Fair and Expo in April 2008 (location: Earl Warren Show Grounds).
