The SBDC will be holding its 8th Annual 1950's Sock Hop Dance Party! Come and dance to your favorite Rock and Roll hits of the '50's, as well as a variety of Latin/Salsa and Smooth Ballroom DJ music. The dance will be co-produced by Brian Gibson and his Salsa classes.
The theme will be a 1950's Sock Hop Dance Party. 1950's costumes will be appropriate. There will be several contests with prizes: Costume contest, Hula Hoop contest, Limbo Bar contest, and more. There will be a Self-Service Ice Cream Soda Fountain Bar. Plus, we will have some special surprises! So, bring your shakin' hips and rubber legs. And limber up those "Elvis Lips".
Light refreshments will be provided. UCSB's Robertson Gym has a large dance floor. No dance partners are required. Come by yourself or bring some friends! Everyone is welcome.
Also, a FREE no-obligation dance lesson will be given from 7:00 to 8:00 pm just prior to the start of the dance.
