Highlights of Winter Quarter 2005 SBDC Activities
The Swing and Ballroom Dance Club was very active this past quarter. Here is a summary of some of our recent Winter Quarter 2005 activities and events (photos will be added in the future, when available).
- SBDC Dance Etiquette "Tip of the Week"
- As an ongoing feature, the Swing and Ballroom Dance Club publishes a weekly Dance Etiquette "Tip of the Week". Each week, we announce the etiquette tip, and then it is posted on the SBDC Web Site.
SBDC Weekly Basics I Lesson Schedule
As another continuing feature, the SBDC Weekly Basics I Lesson Schedule is posted on the SBDC Web Site. For Winter Quarter, we provided our members with a wide range of dance subjects. SBDC club members are able to find the dance topics of interest from the schedule, and plan in advance to attend those lessons. All lessons are supervised or conducted by the SBDC club officers.
Spring Quarter Major Dance, Workshop, and Theme Nights!
The SBDC held our 9th annual "1950's Sock Hop Dance Party" on Saturday, February 5th,2005 , in conjunction with Brian Gibson's Salsa Classes. It was a special evening of "Elvis!, Rock and Roll, Limbo, Salsa, and more!"
The SBDC held a specialty "West Coast Style Swing" Workshop on Saturday, February 12th, 2005. This featured our very own Russell Knight.
For Winter Quarter, we held a "Valentines" Theme Night on Monday February 14th, 2005 (Valentine's Day), and a "Mardi Gras" Theme Night on Monday February 28th, 2005. Plus, we held our traditional "PIZZA and VIDEO Night" on Monday February 21st, 2005.
