the journal of Hispanic and
Lusophone literary and cultural studies edited by the Department of
Spanish and
Portuguese at the University of California, Santa Barbara invites submissions for its
2008 new on-line publication on
topics related to the area of Cultural
Studies. The field of Cultural Studies is one that crosses
disciplinary
boundaries to embrace a variety of scholarly inquiry including ethnic,
gender
and queer studies, film and media studies, post-colonialism and
subaltern
studies. Possible topics include, but
are not limited to:
Ethnicity
Religion
Transculturation
Urban
culture
Gender
and sexuality
Nationalism,
Globalization, and Identity
Folklore
Indigenous Literatures and
Cultures
Popular Culture
TINTA also welcomes relevant book
reviews and interviews. Papers may be
submitted in Spanish, Portuguese or English and should follow the MLA
format. Before submitting your paper,

for formatting requirements. Submissions
that do not conform to these
requirements will not be considered for publication.
