TINTA (ISSN 0739-7003), the graduate student research journal of the Department of Spanish and Portuguese  at UCSB is dedicated to the publication of research representing significant contributions pertaining to the literature, language, and culture of the Hispanic and Lusophone worlds, as well as to interdisciplinary and comparative perspectives. We also publish book reviews, interviews, and welcome the works of faculty members and writers.

Manuscripts may be written in English, Spanish, or Portuguese, and must conform to the MLA Style Manual. Submissions should include three hard copies of your paper and one copy on 3.5 inch IBM or Mac diskette in Microsoft Word only. Send correspondence and submissions to:
