UCF Background Areas of Emphasis Core and Small Groups Praise and Worship Activities

At University Christian Fellowship we desire to grow in our worship of God. We love to worship seriously, joyfully, enthusiastically and sincerely.

During the coming weeks and months, our times of worship will take many forms. Sometimes structured, other times spontaneous. Sometimes loud other times very quiet, an explosive celebration, or on-our-knees in silent reverence. We will sing choruses, Psalms, anthems and hymns.

Our worship times will involve music, the Scripture, and praise -- with both vocal and outward responses. We will all carry the responsibility of seeking God, for our worship will be highly participatory and open to the possibility that God can speak through you to all of us.

  • Scripture is our source for our pattern and principle in worship.
  • Exaltation of our Lord, and Creator, is our goal.
  • Decency and order are our constant watchwords.

A Community of Worship

Two keys that unlock our hearts and minds to worship God in Spirit and truth.

Key #1: Right Relationships

  • With God --- Psalm 66:18
  • With one another --- Matthew 5:23-29

Key #2: Right Motivation

  • Not to impress others --- Matthew 6:5
  • Not to please others --- Galatians 1:10
  • To praise God for who He is in His character and activities --- 1Chronicles 16:6-36
