OURSELVES: "Maintaining and Retaining:
Helping Balance Student Activism"
This workshop is an interactive workshop
designed to help the queer activist find balance in their political,
academic and personal lives. Techniques and tips will be offered to
help you accomplish your political and academic goals as well as have
a personal life. The workshop will end with a relaxing hand massage
and mini-vacation.
Presenters: Jeanne Stanford is a psychologist at UCSB and the
Coordinator of the Stress Management Peer Program at Counseling and
Career Services. Dr. Stanford specializes in sexual identity and
student of color issues. Twilight Schroeder is an Advising Assistant
for the College of Letters and Science at UCSB. She graduated from
UCSB in 1998 with a BA in Sociology.
