• IDENTITIES: "The Pros and Cons of
Reclaiming the Q-word"
This discussion will focus on the word queer and
how it is embraced or rejected by members of our community. What does
queer mean to you? How does it factor into your personal identity? What
is its place on your campus? Come share your answers and hear how other
people feel.
Presenters: The Queer Student Union of UCSB is a student-run
group that provides for the political, social, and personal needs of
lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered, questioning, and ally students on
campus. QSU’s goals include creating a safe space for LGBT students
and raising awareness about queer issues on campus. Noelle Luke is
co-chair of QSU
