OURSELVES: "Safer Sex is a Many Gendered Thing" The goal of this workshop is to challenge shame, misinformation/no information, and the fear/hatred mainstream culture perpetuates about our sexuality and queer bodies. We’ll engage in a hands-on interactive experience w/humor, props, explicit sex and body-positive language, and role-modeling. No assumptions. Non-judgemental. Information communicated in playful yet provocative way peaking curiosity and enhancing sexual options rather than limiting them. Presenter: Lani Ka'ahumanu is a feminist, activist, organizer, author, poet, co-editor of BI ANY OTHER NAME: Bisexual People Speak Out, creator of the Safer Sex Sluts, and founding organizer of BiNetUSA. She is currently working on her next titles: MY GRASSROOTS ARE SHOWING: stories, speeches and special affections, 1975 - 2000 and PASSING FOR OTHER: primal creams and forbidden dreams, poetry and prose 1975 – 2000.
