a safe and funfilled Holiday season. Enjoy the break and drive/travel
safely!
We will begin planning for next quarter, and we really would like your
input. The members make this club and we're here for you guys, so if
you have any suggestions as to the events you want to see, what days
meetings work best, any suggestions/complaints, shot 'em our way! ucsbvsa@yahoo.com.
And yes, the pic of the week has been changed!
Some Cliff Notes...- 10.12.04
Hey everyone!!! First off, just want to thank everyone whose been coming
out to all the events and meetings. Some cliff notes on things that
have been happening: the 2nd meeting had a pretty good turnout and for
those who came to karaoke night after…all I can say is that I
think we might have potential to start a singing group!
Fall quarter Pho night was successful thanks to all those who showed
support by coming to help cook or just to eat. It's only third week,
so don't worry there are still many more fun events and chances to bond
and meet people.
Don't fall too behind in your homework, but make sure to come by the
table, website, or meetings when you get a chance, we've got a lot more
stuff coming up! And remember, intramural sports start this week!
The year is just about here...- 8.04.04
The school year's coming and we just wanted to notify everyone
that we're working hard to plan the events for next year. First off,
we'd like to welcome all the incoming freshmen and transfer students.
If you're looking to find out more about us you can do one of a few
things. 1) e-mail us! 2) Come and meet a lot of us at the API (Asian
Pacific Islander) Social, which will be held during the first week of
school. You'll probably see us in the Arbor too, so don't be shy to
say hi! The website is going to be updated soon too!
And that's all folks! - 4.19.04
Culture Night over and we would like to thank everyone who
made it possible. Not just the coordinators, actors, and sponsors, but
everyone who came and supported us! Thank you again guys and we hope
to see you around. Once again a reminder, our next meeting is this Thursday
at HSSB 1173. It's at 8PM. Do stop by, we still have a lot of fun events
this year. Culture Night pictures and a bunch of other pictures will
be up later this week! Promise. DAILY
NEXUS ARTICLE!

everyone who came out and helped. We have IM Bball every Sunday at 6PM

VCNs ever.
And lastly, the calendar is updated and we'd like to welcome 2 new members
to staff: Kim & Michael.

Our website has been updated and completed! It now has event pictures,
updated events, staff profiles, and a whole lot more! The first meeting

gonna be a blast! We have a lot of fun events happening this quarter
and it'd be a shame if you missed out on them!
Last General Meeting of the Quarter this Thursday! - 11.12.03
How's it going people. The last general meeting of this quarter will
take place this Thursday, November 13th in Girvetz 2128 and will start
at 8PM! Come and kick it w/ us as we wrap up the quarter and update
you on upcoming events.
Updates - 10.29.03
Apologies about the confusion on what room the general meeting was in,
we'll sort that out next time! A couple updates, the next general meeting
is next, next Wednesday (not a Tuesday because of Veteran's Day). The
next Pho Night will be on the 25th, but if you are interested in learning
how to cook pho, come to the MCC on the 24th!
The links page has been updated as well as the pic of the week. "Community
Events" is the new sub-categoary on the right, so if you want your
club's events there, just tell us and we'll post it up! Major updates
coming this weekend.
Events Updates - 10.23.03
We have more events planned due to requests! First off, if
you are interested in helping out with the beach clean-up, we'll be
meeting at 1PM at the San Rafael parking lot this Sunday. The clean-up
will be done w/in 2 hours and it's gonna be a lot of fun, so come out
and get some sun with us!
Also, the meeting on Tuesday will be in 2127, the room across from last
week's. Same bat time though.
Along with that, we are working on a retreat at Lake Cachuma, possibly
in late November, but also doing another All-You-Can-Eat Pho Night,
which will take place on Tuesday, November 18!
That's about it for now, we'll keep you guys posted and work on the
other parts of the site soon.
IM Bball & Website Updates- 10.21.03
We lost this week's bball game, but it's okay, we all had fun!
Thanks to all those who came out and played or just hung out!
Also, the freestyle box has been upgraded to a cooler one!
Daily Nexus features VSA - 10.20.03
On Friday's edition of The Daily Nexus, Christie Trieu,
our very own club president was interviewed for an article about UCSB's
Annual Activities Faire. To read about it, click here.
New Site! - 10.18.03
The website is online! A lot of the content is still coming up within
the next couple of weeks, so just relax while we get it up! There's
a bunch of bugs w/ it (alignment issues and such) which will be resolved
eventually, but it seemed that we needed a portal for members to see
what's up, so that's why the website is up. If you haven't updated your
links yet, our domain is www.ucsbvsa.com.
