This page is still under development. It may/will eventually include:
- member profiles
- more information on membership
- member of the month?
- a contact list for all those interested in participating.

Here's some general info on membership.

Membership is open to anyone interested in joining VSA. A very common question that we get is "Do I have to be Vietnamese to join?" the answer is No!

Anyone is welcome to join VSA. It is true that the majority of our members are Vietnamese, but we have a significant number of non-Vietnamese members.
Many people tend to join VSA for various reasons. Some range from reasons of finding fellow Vietnamese people on campus with whom they can connect, to finding our meetings and ice breakers fun, to just seeing that everyone in the club is chill, or just because they like pho and want to go eat it when we do. We are just like any other club, we have fun but are also serious. We do kickbacks, social events, sports, etc. But we also are involved with the community. We do beach clean-ups and work with other organizations in promoting cultural awareness. Our Vietnamese Culture Night, a yearly event, promotes Vietnamese Culture. We also work with other schools and organizations in organizing Tet Festival, a yearly event that celebrates the lunar new year, this happens in Orange County.

Membership does not require that much time, though it can. The time that a member generally puts into the club varies. You are not required to go to each meeting and all the events, you can go to them as you please. It is true though that you will only get as much as you put into it, so if you are interested in making new friends, the more events you go to the more you'll find you have in common with fellow members. Our events vary, meetings can sometimes have less exciting moments, but you will find that they are informative in the long run.

So it's up to you to join! Meeting/event info is on your left and don't be scared, we don't bite, seriously, we don't.

How do I join?
Joining VSA is very easy. Just come to our meetings or events. Once you are there, sign your name up on our roster so we can keep you informed on our events.

Do you guys do stuff with other schools?
Yes! All of the So*Cal VSAs are apart of an alliance (UVSA). There are events where all of us attend, so if you have friends who go to other schools but are in VSA, mostlikely you'll see them at these events.

I'm broke, does it cost $?
No, membership is free. Some events such as All-You-Can-Eat Pho Night and things such as T-shirts do cost money though. General meetings and the majority of our events are free and open to all interested.
